The 4th BioAssembler Consortium Meeting was held in Vienna, Austria, from 11 to 13 December, bringing together partners to review project progress and coordinate the final phase of activities. With the project approaching its end, the meeting focused on the status of the active Work Packages (WPs), allowing partners to present recent achievements, discuss remaining tasks and deliverables, and align efforts to ensure the timely completion of all project objectives.
Dedicated sessions were held to support preparation for the final evaluation, including discussions on key results, performance indicators, and final reporting requirements. The presence of one of the member of the project advisory board, Klaus-Peter Stengele, contributed significantly to these discussions, providing strategic feedback, reflecting on the project’s progress, and offering recommendations to strengthen outcomes in the final months.
The consortium also exchanged views on possibilities for future work, exploring potential follow-up collaborations, future research directions, and opportunities to further exploit the results generated within the BioAssembler project beyond its lifetime.
As part of the meeting programme, partners visited the UniVie laboratory, a BioAssembler consortium partner. This visit provided an additional opportunity for in-depth discussion on the final details of the collaborative work toward the novel biosensor developed within the project, fostering close interaction among the partners involved. In addition, participants took part in a visit to the Christmas market on the old UniVie campus, offering an informal setting for networking and strengthening collaboration alongside the formal meeting agenda.
