The BioAssembler’s research dissemination continues to progress. This time, the project was represented at the 16th European Sociological Association (ESA) Conference by CES junior researcher Bernardo Valente. The event took place in Porto, Portugal, from August 27 to 30.
At the ESA Conference, Valente presented some results published in the paper ‘Exploring Biosensors’ Scientific Production and Research Patterns: A Bibliometric Analysis’, bridging the its findings with the next steps of the BioAssembler project. The presentation was followed by fruitful discussions concerning the conditions for institutional partnerships in the Recombinant DNA field and the democratization of knowledge and innovation in this area.
Moreover, the conference was an excellent opportunity to understand the exciting potential of European sociology of technology and healthcare in shaping the future.
