The BioAssembler Summer School “Critical Approaches to the Sustainable Transformation” is scheduled for the 15th to 19th of July in a beautiful setting at the University of Algarve.
In this interdisciplinary Summer School, we propose to address critical approaches to sustainable transformation, tackling pressing challenges in sustainability. Explore regulatory, institutional, technological, and market trends driving the need for change, as exemplified by the UN Sustainable Development Agenda’s seventeen global sustainable goals. A comprehensive analysis is needed, drawing upon expertise from various fields, including sustainability science, regulatory dimensions, socio-economic aspects, and more.
Organized by the European-funded project BIOASSEMBLER, this Summer School delve into photolithographic chemistry, nanobiotechnology, and broader emerging technologies like biosensors as a catalyst dynamic for a sustainable transformation.
This Summer School aims to help PhD students and early-career researchers push their work forward by providing formal sessions, lectures, workshops and feedback focused on the research abstracts sent by the applicants.
Applicants must submit the application form attached with a short bio (1 page), a motivation letter (max. 800 words), and an extended abstract (max. 2000 words) in pdf or Word to info@bioassembler.eu. The motivation letter should explain the reasons for participating in the School and how you hope to integrate the shared knowledge and experience in your future work.
